The software work your clients keep asking for
You advise mid market manufacturers. They keep asking for systems their ERP was never going to provide, and you have nowhere good to send them. Voliom designs and builds that work. You make the introduction, we carry the selling, the scoping and the delivery, and the terms below are published in full.
15%
Of everything we collect on a referred client's first project.
5%
On further work with that client for twenty four months.
10 days
From the client's payment clearing to yours. No quarterly cycle.
0
Exclusivity clauses, minimums, territories, quotas and notice periods.
The terms, in full
15% of what we collect on a referred client's first project, and 5% on further work with them for 24 months. Paid as we are paid. You make an introduction; we do the selling, the scoping and the delivery.
| Typical project | Project value | Your share |
|---|---|---|
| A spreadsheet replacement or integration | $25,000 | $3,750 |
| A quoting or configurator build | $60,000 | $9,000 |
| A full integration programme around an ERP migration | $120,000 | $18,000 |
Those are real project sizes rather than illustrative ones. Most of what we are asked for by manufacturers sits in the first two rows: a quoting tool, a scheduling replacement, an integration between an ERP and something it was never going to talk to. The third row happens around an ERP migration, where the integration work is the part no migration partner wants.
The rate is published rather than discussed on a call, because a programme that withholds its number is usually withholding a small one. Two referred projects of that size in a year is $18,000, earned on the strength of an introduction and carrying no delivery risk.
Who the programme is for
People already trusted inside mid market manufacturers who cannot build custom software themselves. The common shape is access without delivery capacity. No credential is required and none is relevant.
Independent ERP consultants
Epicor, Infor, Dynamics, NetSuite
You are in the plant for months and keep hitting things the ERP will not do. You implement. You do not build custom.
Fractional COOs and operations consultants
Mid market manufacturers
You were hired because something is broken. Often the fix is software that nobody has written.
MEP advisors
State Manufacturing Extension Partnerships
You advise hundreds of plants and are asked for recommendations you have nowhere to send.
Equipment reps and systems integrators
Machine tools, automation, controls
You are on the floor every week and you hear the scheduling complaint every time.
Fractional CFOs and accountants
Manufacturing clients
You see the Dynamics GP deadline and the month end spreadsheets before anyone else does.
Semi retired plant managers
Consulting on their own terms
Thirty years of relationships and no interest in delivery work.
What these have in common is not a qualification. It is that you are in the building, somebody asks you what to do about a problem software would fix, and you currently have nowhere good to send them.
If you are looking for a title rather than a commission, this is not that. We do not offer equity, a seat, or the word "partner" on its own, because at a firm that word means profit share and liability and we are not offering either. This is a referral arrangement, paid well and written down.
Our commitments to you
Five things, all of which protect your relationship rather than ours. You are lending us your credibility, which is worth more than the fee, and the terms should reflect that.
- We will not approach your client for anything else. Not adjacent services, not a newsletter, not a renewal conversation you were not part of.
- We will not go around you. Further work with that client pays you for 24 months whether or not you were involved in winning it.
- We will tell you if they are already in our pipeline. Immediately, before you spend any credibility on the introduction.
- We will say no when we are full. A queued project damages your relationship more than ours, because you are the one who vouched for us.
- We will not use your name in marketing without asking. No logo on this page, no case study, no quote you did not approve.
The last one matters more than it sounds. Every agency wants the logo and the quote. You may have good reasons not to be publicly associated with a vendor your client pays, and that is your call to make each time, not a box you ticked once.
How the programme works
Four steps, and three of them are ours. The only work on your side is the introduction itself.
Step 1
You introduce us
An email with both of us on it is enough. One or two lines about why you thought of us.
Step 2
We have the first call
Free, and it is a scoping conversation rather than a pitch. You are welcome on it or not, as you prefer.
Step 3
We quote, they decide
You see the quote. If they say no, that is the end of it and nothing is owed.
Step 4
They pay, you are paid
15% of each payment as it clears, within ten working days.
What we actually build
Software that sits between an ERP and the work. Integrations, quoting and configurator tools, scheduling that replaces a spreadsheet, and the custom pieces an ERP implementation leaves behind. We are not an ERP reseller and we do not compete with implementation partners.
That last point is the one worth being clear about, because it decides whether this is safe for you. If you implement Epicor or Business Central, we are not after your implementation revenue and we have no product to displace yours. The work we take is the work your client asks you for after go live, when the system is in and the spreadsheets are still there.
Four pages on this site set out the positions in full, and they are the fastest way to judge whether we know what we are talking about before you put your name to an introduction:
- Production scheduling software, on why the planner's spreadsheet is a specification rather than a discipline problem.
- Dynamics GP to Business Central migration, on what a migration tool moves and what it does not.
- OEE software, on why OEE is a measurement rather than an improvement.
- Application modernization, on why nobody writes the page telling you not to rewrite.

FAQ
Common questions
How much does Voliom pay for a referral?
15% of what we collect on the first project, and 5% on any further work with that client for 24 months. It is paid as we are paid, not on signature, so if a client pays in three instalments your share arrives in three instalments.
What counts as a referral?
An introduction by email or a call where you put us in front of someone. You do not have to sell, scope or sit through delivery. If the company was already in a live conversation with us, we will tell you straight away rather than take the introduction and stay quiet.
Do I need to be a reseller or sign an exclusivity agreement?
No. There is no exclusivity, no minimum, no territory and no quota. One page sets out the rate, when it is earned and how long it lasts. You can refer one client in two years or ten in a month.
Will you approach my client about anything else?
No. We work on what you introduced us for. We will not pitch adjacent services, we will not add them to a mailing list, and we will not go around you on renewals. If they ask us for something outside the original scope, we tell you before we answer.
What if the project does not happen?
Then nothing is owed and nothing is lost. We do not charge for scoping conversations, so an introduction that goes nowhere costs your client nothing and costs you nothing except the email.
Who will my client actually work with?
Fasih, the founder, leads every engagement, supported by a deliberately small senior team. Your client is not handed to an account manager and passed down to a delivery pod. The trade is a straightforward one: direct access and fast decisions, against finite capacity. When we are at capacity we say so rather than accept the work and queue it.
When do I get paid?
Within ten working days of the client's payment clearing. We invoice, they pay, you are paid from that. No waiting for a quarterly cycle.
