Software built for how you actually operate
Most operations software fails because it was designed for a process nobody runs. These pages describe the problems we see repeatedly in each industry, in the language the people doing the work use.
Where we work
Pick the operation closest to yours
- Manufacturing operationsOperators log production on paper, and somebody types it in the next morning
- Logistics and fleet operationsLoads are assigned by phone call and remembered, not recorded
- Field service operationsScheduling is a shared calendar and a lot of phone calls
- Healthcare operationsPatient intake is a clipboard, then re-typed into the system
- Retail operationsStore tasks go out by email or group chat with no way to see completion
- Agri and food processingEach machine holds its own data and nobody joins it up
FAQ
Common questions
Do you only work in these industries?
No. These are the operations we have built for most often, so we can be specific about what usually goes wrong. We work outside them too, we are just less able to tell you what the problem is before you describe it.
We are not a software company. Does that matter?
It is usually an advantage. The projects that pay back fastest are the ones replacing a spreadsheet or a paper process that everybody already understands, because the requirements are visible rather than invented.
How small is too small?
If one person spends a day a week moving data between systems, there is probably a project worth doing. Below that, the honest advice is usually to fix the process before buying software for it.
