Field service operations

Field Service Software Development, built around your floor

Jobs are booked by phone, technicians carry paper job sheets, and the same information gets typed again into the accounting system at the end of the week.

Where it hurts

If more than two of these are true, there is a project here

We hear these from service managers, operations directors and owners more than anything else.

  • Scheduling is a shared calendar and a lot of phone calls
  • Technicians fill in paper job sheets that someone re-types later
  • Nobody knows what parts are actually on each van
  • First-time fix rate is a feeling rather than a number
  • Invoices go out days after the job because the paperwork has to catch up

FAQ

Common questions

We already use a field service platform. Why build anything?

Often you should not. We build when the platform cannot model how you actually quote, schedule or bill, or when you are paying per technician for features you do not use. The honest first question is whether configuring what you have is cheaper, and we will tell you if it is.

Can technicians use it without training?

That is the bar. If a technician needs a training session, the app is wrong. We keep the daily path to three or four taps and test it with the least enthusiastic person on the team, not the most.

Does it work without signal in a basement or a plant?

Yes. The app holds the job locally and syncs when it reconnects, including photos. This is a design decision made at the start, not something that can be added later.

What does a project like this cost?

It depends on scope and we quote it line by line after a call, never before. We run two delivery tracks: a blended squad at roughly $24 to $45 per hour for straightforward builds, and a senior-only pod at roughly $75 to $120 per hour where architecture, security review and a compressed timeline matter. Most first projects here land in the four to six week range.
